The Microbiology and Infection Service is accredited to ISO 15189:2012 as verified by UKAS. The scope of activities accredited can be verified on the UKAS website for the department at www.ukas.com Ref: 9678.

The Microbiology laboratories, situated on Level 7 RSCH and 1st floor PRH, provide acomprehensive service in diagnostic clinical microbiology including virology and environmental testing. The service is closely allied with the Brighton and Sussex Medical School. Several honorary positions are affiliated to the service as a result of this close collaboration.
