Reference range

For Rivaroxaban, Apixaban, Fondaparinux, Edoxaban and Dabigatran the reference intervals are determined by several factors including the time of administration or last dose taken, the dose itself, renal function and indication for anticoagulation. The requestor is typically referred to a Consultant Haematologist or published data (some of which is limited for the newer drugs) for interpretation.

Turnaround time

The laboratory will try to turn around within 1 day if urgent, although there may sometimes be a delay as this is not a routine test.
